Gear selection and acquisition has always been a rather complicated topic for me (be it instruments, photography equipment or mediums to paint). On the one hand I could have done most of my work with my dated Canon 600D, on the other hand I probably wouldn't have. Driven by aesthetics (like most photographers are) it's hard to deny that haptics and a camera's look are not important or at least a decision factor.
While having image quality and the final product in the centre of every thought the gear that inspires me will almost always be the one that I carry with me daily.
